@sellathechemist Helium being a finite ressource,
helium being used for balloons,
this never felt reasonable in my brain,
market economy somehow
never made sense to me on that level.
Maybe… it just does not, in general.

@nblr @sellathechemist It's about the purity. Industrial helium has to be 99.99999% pure or something. You need to put energy into the process to make it purer. There's newer and purer helium as some of what's already there. You sell the dirty rest to make party balloons. That's what is worth. Trust me. Someone did the maths.
