@AstroHyde@mastodon.social TBH I am not a phan of Dr. Who and have never heard of V. But Firefly absolutely Slaps.

@AstroHyde@mastodon.social The problem with Trek for this request is that it is too long. Also, you appear to want a serial or quasi-serial, rather than series? So that argues against TOS, TNG, or Voyager, which are highly episodic. Firefly is a good, serial, relatively short watch through, IMHO. Babylon V is fun, but pretty long, though you can skip some of it to focus on the long Shadow War story.

@AstroHyde@mastodon.social I wanna say Doctor Who, but it's a serious commitment to watch all the way though. It's also not a great exemplar of "sci-fi," as it too rarely goes there. And if we're bundling, I'm not a fan of either Firefly or V. Babylon 5 is great, but Lexx is 100% an acquired taste and I've never managed to sit through Farscape for very long. So Star Trek it is!

@AstroHyde@mastodon.social Is Andor too new or too serious? What a fantastic show. Space: 1999, on the other hand, is justifiably not on your list!
