I just had a weird moment of dissonance because apparently the MikroTik router/switch/AP combo I use for my home network just supports quantum key distribution Which threw me for a loop because I first heard of QKD in Halting State by @cstross@wandering.shop where the lack of QKD was a major plot point I briefly thought that it was one of those things that wasn't supported on my model but still shown in the settings no apparently with a compliant transceiver* I could do quantum key distribution if I wanted

@cstross *Technically RouterOS will do it over any network interface but without a quantum channel QKD is kind of pointless
