When we say that transphobes want to eliminate trans and non-binary people from public life, it's not hyperbole, it's backed up by their actions. Threatening legal action against #parkrun a free-to-attend, volunteer-run event which encourages people to move their bodies, and if they can't do that then to get outside and volunteer. All because, why? And if you look closer it's fascism all the way down, as per usual. Exactly how are they expecting a free-to-attend, volunteer run event to verify any participant's identity: name, age, gender or sex-assigned-at-birth? Papers, please. All of #parkrun is self-identification. You list whatever name you like (there is, I believe, something in the T&Cs about offensive words), whatever age category (nobody's verifying the date of birth you enter), and your gender.
