@rk @markstos @rjbs @fastmail Reimplementing all the features of XML in JSON (with no natural metadata syntax) is such a waste of effort. 😔
Oh, well. The old i-made-a-lite-version-of-x! ... oh, I actually need features a, b, c, d, ... aww crap, now i need a lite version of x...

@whitemice @rk @markstos @rjbs @fastmail the flaw of XML was the M, not the X. Nodes having attributes *and* a special attribute "content" (that could have a different kind of attribute and some other nodes) might have been the original sin, but maybe that's inherent to "markup".
