Why not implement both? Might be easier. No breaking backwards compatibility at the expense of slightly more complexity going forward.
Both indicate a clear intent to start a new line.

@jswright61 @arroz @MrRooni That would work for ONE program. The point was to get everyone to do the same, which would improve every program.
