Birthdays are a big, emotional thing for me. I don't really want to make a big deal out of them, because “it's just a birthday”, but I love celebrating other people & making them feel special.
When I was a kid, my parents forgot my birthday once and I never thought it was a big deal (they laughed it off) until I became a mom and realised that I would never in a million years forget my child's birthday. So this year I wanted to do something spontaneous with my daughter but also...I'm tired

@alicetragedy IKR! a friend was recently telling me how much he likes travel agencies just for the fact that they take care of all details for you. I think there is something about “not being responsible”, and the decision fatigue that comes with it.
