Modern ID technology (as in: anything after 20th century paper filing systems) has frozen the evolution of names in it's tracks. Why else, in a world full of Dave Tailor's and John Smith's are there no people called Kevin Dev or Stephen Businessman?

@uastronomer Well, there is Dev Patel, and Art Garfunkel, but happily these days no one needs to give their occupation as housewifi

@uastronomer I saw a YouTube video recently looking at this from the opposite perspective, pointing out how people store names in their phone is often “Tom Taxi” or “Katie Helen’s mum”
