@mnl This. This is where I'm at. The sheer amount of _liberatory joy_ people are taking in making things is fantastic. And it's things that will NEVER be used in a corporate environment. They're the wrong shape. They're personal and not for sale, so while copyright _applies_ because that's how the law is written it's not really a concern anyone wants or really engages with. And that's _good_. Copyright law is a lot of bullshit, but one that tearing down wholesale without shepherding the change would have disastrous consequences because of the systems that have built up around it. But the seeds of new and other systems are here right now.
