@VE3RWJ Most creatures here will just leave you alone if you do the same for them. Only creature you really need to worry about is the Magpie: Large-ish black/white bird with a lovely song, but during nesting season they will actively attack and chase anyone and anything in their territory. Though they're also really smart, so if you make friends with one (by feeding it etc) they not only won't attack you, but will spread the word to others to not attack you and even defend you from other magpies in some cases. Though special mention to: Funnel web spider: leave them be and they'll mostly do the same, but piss one off or even just lift one out of water thinking it's dead and it will probably win the fight. Venom is lethal to humans if you don't get the antivenom. Not in my area anyway. Eastern brown snake: world's second most venomous snake, will leave you alone if you do the same, and generally runs away from you, but may chase you down faster than you can run if you piss it off. Had one strike at me a couple of years ago while I was on my pushbike, which was a bit of a scare.
