Under my rule, it will be illegal to use the excuse of downloading a software update as an opportunity to re-enable some or all push notifications. The end user’s choices must be respected with each update. In fact, let me take it a step further and, by law, push notifications are disabled aside from one notice during app install or initial launch that give a you a reminder that this is an option. Quit treating every user as a marketing opportunity. Punishement: execution That outta fix it.
