@chrisamaphone While it looks on the surface to have terrible UX (+), I appreciate that, in a sense, emacs has some real simplicity here. "What do I do? I change buffers. What's a buffer? A sequence of characters. That is the law and the whole of the law; the rest is explanation. Go and learn." (+) It has some terrible UX under the surface, but it has it on the surface too. 😉

@chrisamaphone I feel sometimes like there should be a core undergraduate course in developing mental models (hopefully resulting in increased demand for them). I would criticize much pedagogy for failing to pay attention to them (was particularly obvious when OO was hot).
