@levampyre I live in 7a/b costal Climate. I’ll direct sow a couple of weeks later than @Broadfork under movable cold benches or fiber mech. For food I try to harvest mature but not dry bean seeds to store in the freezer (no need for soaking and a little better taste). There’s always more than enough escapes for me to have dry seeds for sowing (and often food) as well.

@pms So you would just harvest the ripe pods, peel them and put the beens on a reck to dry for seed? I'm too greedy with my freezer space, tbh. There's so much veggies that do dry much worse than beens or loose taste or are not ideal for canning. Spinach, brokkoli and pea, for example, they get the prirme spots in my freezer. @Broadfork
