I'm currently writing a book that centers on a D/s dynamic between two men, and I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these characters. It wasn't until I got 17,000 words in that I realized it had yet to become sexual or even physical. That's when I started thinking back to try and recall ever reading such a book. I can't think any.
Won't be the first time I've written for an audience of one.

@sentimentaldom@woof.group unconsummated love was a big thing in gothic/Victorian novels.

@sentimentaldom@woof.group I don’t think that necessarily means it’s for an audience of one. But … most people will be expecting such a story to be erotica. I bet there’s a market for it, but it would have to be pitched/marketed carefully. I for one would love to read it

@sentimentaldom@woof.group Simply means the slow burn will be worth it :meowAwauu: Or as another reply meant with their Wuthering Heights reference, just as delicious a (unconsumatted) story.
