  Despite having made plans to finish "The Great Big Disconnect" before July, that's...not happening. But I have finished writing and looking over a pretty cool story for something else! I'll give it a few more hours before I look it over and edit it and send it in. I really love how it turned out. I'd like to say it's some of my best writing yet but we'll see how an audience thinks...

  Finishing up the transhet thing and ggaaaaaaah I hate writing the synopsis, I hate it hate it HATE IT. I have never written them well, and I know because they never scream "hey this is interesting" to random passersby, they always scream "this person wrote an academic essay and had to shrink it down to match the word count." I end up having to do a first draft, second draft and fifth draft because I write paragraphs' worth of synopsis. i hate synospis...

  @WanderingM0on@blorbo.social Yes!! I like the unreliability the best--you can also get really nasty with the character if you want lol, make it a real compare and contrast with the cast. To a limit though, because otherwise the whole thing will be unreadable lmao. But yeah! But yeah, see, I feel like...if it's a video game, I can sorta see the, uh, disconnect? If you're playing an otome game, you're expected to be inserting yourself into the MC. But a novel works differently, so ???...

  I did take a look at the jam and they say they happily accept WIPs because the point is to have fun and get some eyes on your story at any stage--which is cool, even if I unfortunately cannot function on "having fun" for a "having fun" event. I take everything too seriously lol. :rip: BUT that does mean that I guess if all else fails, I'll just upload the WIP. I legit would only have the sex and ending scenes left.

  Last week was spent trying to fix Photoshop (CS5) because it started to crash after only 5 minutes of a file being edited and open, and then one or two days of the week spent trying to fix my *computer* because it started to freeze twice ugly. Computer seems to be fixed as of yesterday but Photoshop...ehhhh. It still crashes after a bit but it lasts longer if I don't have Firefox open??! And even then it's only about half an hour? Depending on the file itself? I have Affinity P...

  idk, I really like how it turned out. Hopefully when I finish the actual thing and go through it after a break, I don't take it out. I'm sure someone would say "take it out, it's not relevant!" but like... Some of my favorite things involve scenes that aren't "relevant" to the plot but they make the entire product LIVED-IN. Like peeking into a slice of real life through the irrealistic lens. How real life sometimes just has random scenes inserted while you go...
