@jazz@timetheft.social I haven't used ai but I still wanna learn and I prefer asking questions to ppl instead of being told to RTFM , do you know who I should go to for the basics of HTML, CSS to make a website that looks like this : https://invisible-island.net/ I don't wanna overload you if you're already teaching a lot so I can definitely wait or go slow

@jazz hi hello :) beautiful post! wholly agree also, i'm trans and looking into making a neocities page but too daunted by the idea to actually get started with learning- i don't use ai in general, but i'd love some guidance if you're offering!

@jazz at first the way you write that made it look like you were lumping using Django (or otherwise scripting a website with Python) in with using an LLM and I was confused why you felt that way.

@jazz oh I'm actually playing around with python a little for fun and a friend was wondering if there's any courses where I could get to know python-specific things like functools, collections and so on. I was doing typescript exclusively since like 2020-ish (JS way before that, HTML/CSS even longer, no computer science background tho) and haven't really learned a new language outside of reading through the pret/pokeemerald decompile (which is technically C, but apparently a bit "weird"), so I know how to approach coding, just stuck on learning language-specific things/best practices.
