In my opinion @avilewis and the #NDP should focus their efforts not on existing voters (most of whom vote based on party loyalty) but on those who feel disenfranchised by the current system and don't vote. The more new voters you can get out to the polls, the stronger you'll be.
I love his idea to tour the country and I hope that he is not afraid to go into places he's not popular. Takeing an NDP bus along the rodeo circuit in the prairies for example; handing out free coffee and talking directly to the people (even if it means dealing with a-holes) will go a lot further than relying on the media to deliver your message.

@RantingCanuck @pinhman @avilewis I imagine there will be a lot of pressure to move to the “centre” to pick up undecideds. A losing move, if you ask me. Just look at Mulcair. We already have two conservative parties. We don’t need another one.
