@hugh@social.crablab.uk Back in the day it was a no-brainer to get. These days it's generally marginal unless you are doing a *lot* of long distance travel.
The pain of having to take it through the manual gates and show staff verses tapping through with an IC card is enough to make me strongly consider not buying it next time I go.

@scarlet@chaos.social It's issued on Something machine readable now, so I don't think you have to go through the manual gates? I intend to basically Interrail around Japan so it seemed ideal for that?
