@jokeyrhyme sure, but these folks aren't looking for systemic or personal anything. They're absolutely just wanting to play with their new favorite toy and ducking their head when anyone might give them the stink eye about it. They're literally ashamed of it.

@zkat agreed it'll be very interesting to see what happens when the monopoly money expires and the circular investments evaporate, i think that's the most probable (and damaging) exit here, alas i was just laid-off as part of an AI-inspired restructuring ( https://www.atlassian.com/blog/announcements/atlassian-team-update-march-2026 ) so i have some feelings, haha

@zkat @jokeyrhyme I understand that this is a difficult time but this argument is kind of a strawman. I use llms on a daily basis and in my option asking thaura to estimate how long my todo items should take is not destroying art nor replacing jobs. The second I have the option to vote for someone who'll regulate big tech companies and improve the labor situation in my country I'll gladly take it.
