@ChrisMayLA6 The particular one I’m thinking of was nicely lit for most standing heights, but hopeless for someone seated. I left a snottogram in the visitors’ book and also mentioned it to a member of staff.

@allypally My solution is often to sit but some way back (bench or gallery portable stool) but you need a relatively empty gallery to do that... most of the time, like your teacher friend, I often view from the side to reduce reflections.....
