@morningtype When Black Foundry sold their IP to TTF, I interviewed Jérémie Hornus and this was his reply to a similar question I asked him: "The Black Foundry brands now belongs to TTF, they will maintain the font collection, keeping it alive and also make it grow and expand (some WIP project, scripts extensions etc.). Black Foundry as a company will not exist in the near future but it’s font collection will, and may keep evolving too (for example there are a few ‘alpha’ fonts that need to be developed into full fonts, other fonts have WIP additional writing systems, they may see the light anytime sooner or later)." Ofc this is ONE foundry, so it's only one data point, but maybe this info can help in some way.
