Concept: a Star Trek Lower Decks-style sitcom set on a Borg Cube, with varyingly-silly depictions of Borg doing Borg thigs. One of the recurring characters is a human named Gary, who just sort of hangs around the Borg Cube being snarky; the reason he's never assimilated is because 1. he's not making himself a threat (an actual plot point in the shows), and 2. he has no useful skills or knowledge they'd want to assimilate. (It's implied that it's also because he's annoying.) No explanation is given for what he eats etc, or why he's even here in the first place, it's just a sitcom gag sort of thing. He has a sitcom-arch-nemesis thing with a drone designated Six of Nine; it's ambiguous what Six of Nine thinks about it, if anything, or indeed whether Gary's actually serious about it or if it's just because of the designation. The few times the Borg Queen shows up when Gary's around, he transfers the sitcom-enmity to her instead; she's a mixture of amused, annoyed, and confused about him.
