The increase in cruelty in so many areas is causing great harm. I don’t have any good explanatory model for why this is happening all over.
Seems that being extremely rich is a very high risk factor for developing malignant narcissism.

@stepheneb @phillmv It's also the case that most people care so much, and have functional empathy, which renders them unable to amass dytopian levels of riches while people literally starve to death. But it's worse than that - they are using their wealth to build better military tech, drones, bombs, and more efficient killers, and fear instillers. Fascism is coming, again.
