A very quick mini review of running a #flx1s by @furilabs as a daily driver: Part 1 - There is an additional button called &quot;assistant&quot;, which lets you configure quick press, long and double press, handy for quick shortcuts like screenshot and camera - Android container comes with MicroG and #froid and can start automatically (amazing to receive whatsapp notifications). - GPS works for the android container, great for navigation with Organic Maps! #linux #phone #mobilelinux

Part 2: - You can copy/paste from and to the android container, which is great if you use a password manager like Bitwarden. - Camera works fine - I'm able to receive calls when the phone is on sleep (I'm genuinely surprised) - Flatpak enabled out of the box. The Bazaar store works great (has great mobile section!) - Has hardware killswitches for Camera, SIM and Microphone. - Bluetooth, Hotspot, Wifi, 4G in Ireland works fine.

Part 3 (the honeymoon period is over, so sharing things that still needs work from my perspective): - Navigation is a hit and miss, some apps work, some not. While GPS works, most of the time it does not pinpoint my location but gives me the city I'm in. - I can't get a single Google app working with MicroG sadly, I really miss Android Auto, so I've been using an old android phone on hotspot for the car. - `Portfolio` files app does not display thumbnails of pictures.

Part 4 (really cool stuff): - Mount your NAS folders via fstab works fine, so you don't need any 3rd party apps to access your NAS like Synology. - #bazzite's Bazaar app store works well and looks amazing, giving you a section with curated mobile apps. - Using Jellyfin? `Gelly` and `Delfin`, both available from flathub are cool to stream movies and music. - `Pipeline` is great YouTube on mobile, also available from flathub. You can download directly or use `Video Downloader`

@ppulfer@mastodon.ie @furilabs@fosstodon.org hmm I haven't tried Organic Maps but CoMaps for me has been struggling significantly. I also need to find a better keyboard or swipe keyboard if you have a suggestion. And I tried to get Garmin Connect to work but so far not having any success, thought it was cause of MicroG but if you're right then that shouldn't be the issue.
