The question is some variation of: is it possible to construct an organization that can pay its employees well, that can raise money that wants a financial return, that reliably delivers an innovative open social web application to lots of happy users, and is **structurally incapable** of enshittifying or screwing its users down the road? Even if private equity makes a takeover bid or the key people in the organization turn evil? 2/3

Or various terrible things we don't want to happen on the Open Social Web but that happen in Big Tech all the time. The answer may be No. But I'm not convinced of that. The answer is not Yes either, at least not yet, because I don't think we have a blueprint for how to do that. But imagine if we figured it out ... we'd solve sooo many problems in our community, and for the world. So I want to see whether we can make some progress on thinking through this ... 3/3
