Why do we not have kotatsu in the US? Given the amount of time we spend in front of a coffee table, the idea of there being a comforter and space heater attached to the table sounds amazing. I bet my cats would love it as well. The ones you can get online that ship to the US look pretty shoddy, I could probably just get a kake-futon, a shiki-futon, and a quartz tube heater and build the table enclosure myself. Anyone I know either buy one in the US that they liked, or built one themselves that they were happy with?
