Life pro-tip: Do not sleep in the same room as your phone. You can thank me later. But I use it as an alarm clock Amazon has digital bedside alarm clocks for $10 But I use my phone in bed Countless studies show that staring into a screen at bedtime results in a worse night’s rest But I might get a notification overnight ThatsThePoint.jpg If this is your excuse, then you are what is known as an addict. Please analyze why you feel this way, and what makes social media clickbait so important that it can’t wait until morning. Then put the phone in the drawer for the night. You can check it to your heart’s content after you wake up fully rested. Like I said, you can thank me later.

@ryan@bemrose.social I have an AmazFit watch with a silent vibrating alarm. I usually have my phone in my bedroom but mostly keep it on a charging stand. It's there in case any of my 5-6 priority contacts has an emergency so I can hear it.

@ryan@bemrose.social "alarm clock" -- you can't stop me "I use my phone in bed" -- I know I shouldn't. "notifications' -- omg NO. I only get notifications, visually, only if I'm looking at my phone.
