@scottytrees It was a little high-minded even when Berry wrote it in 1987, but I don't hold that against him. I'm just old enough myself (barely) to remember when art and letters leveraged classical hyperbole to make a point, and people understood that and didn't criticize them point by point. Some of what's on this list is not always realistic or achievable in every case, but that's okay. It's an expression of guiding ideals, not a set of strict tenets for everyday living.
