Idea for a physical calendar: a bracelet with rotating parts. Five of these parts are base 2 encoded day of the month. Another four are the month. Given that these only need two states, the whole thing can be really simple. 3D-printed, carved, paper-folded, whatever. Using a padlock as calendar? Hmmmm, maybe?
