I once deleted some critical system files on a server that had a lot of attention in our environment (like, hundreds of people).
Turns out those 'recursive' and 'force' options on an rm (remove) command should not be taken lightly.

@mmiasma@mastodon.sdf.org @josh0@babka.social I am having a hard time remembering when I've detonated production on my own. I've definitely had coding errors that led to permutations of incorrect or misleading data over the years though. But I was a DBA for twenty years. It was my first and only job to be prepared where others were not and to always be able to get the company back to usually within 15-60 minutes of where we were when whatever catastrophe happened.
