As for #GloballyInclusive, I feel like that would go well beyond technical solutions and quickly into #politics and other #inclusiveness topics, which I'm sure isn't the goal here (not that they aren't very important goals otherwise).

We can't continue with design assumptions from the 1970s about what "acceptable" characters are in text. Will it increase inclusivity? I don't know. I hope so. Will there be security issues? I doubt it will be worse than it is now. Will it surface some bugs? I think so. And that's a good thing.
