I read this yesterday, but https://britishprogress.org/reports/ai-and-the-uk-labour-market-the-evidence-so-far is encouraging. People are using LLMs, but they’re not being fired in favour of them. Obviously the way such things are created is largely with theft, which is why I’m part of the big class action about that. But I would like them to become one more tool in the toolbox for real people, to be used when useful, and made without stealing, and without ceding power to Valley arseholes, and maybe that’s happening.
