@YinYinFalcon the tofu that comes in the double packs with cardboard (eg at Rewe) is pretty firm. I made the with regular squishy tofu from taifun and it worked too, the pieces were just a bit wobbly and prone to break.

@JohannaMakesGames hmm okay - that's not exactly firm tofu either in my experience all the tofu we have here is varying degrees of soft (or even extra soft) and will only start to take on flavours and able to be fried properly if cooked in saltwater first (all the pressing and whatnot just ruins the structure of it without getting rid of the weird tofu water flavour) would be amazing to work with firm tofu that has low water content to begin with for once
