But if she had supported me and loved me as a person while I started transitioning, then eventually said, “I love you, but this version of you isn’t for me romantically/sexually”—I’d still have been devasted and angry, but I think over time I would have understood.

@glassblowerscat yeah, that's kind of what I was trying to say. Support should be unconditional even if the relationship doesn't last. I feel your pain because it's not like we change immediately and I don't think i could stop caring for someone so quickly and this just feels mean @Willow @Tessa @eri
