What would it take to pass a law in your state that made it illegal to store a user&#39;s age? We already have laws around, for example, asking for and storing SSNs. Can we move age to that category? (I am seeking a legislative solution to a legislative problem. Technological solutions and workarounds are outmatched when the other side can arrest you.)

@afeinman The first thing is to give it an appealing name, and the second is to be very careful with the exceptions. And the third thing is that it needs to be accompanied by a GDPR-style right to view, correct and delete personal information. Organizations that can store a person's exact birthdate for longer than the time it takes to use it once. Organizations that can store a person's birth year, but not month or date, for longer than it takes to use it once. Any organization can store the fact that a person is in one of the following age categories: senior citizen adult (pick a single relevant number)childbut they cannot store the date on which they accepted a change in category. That sort of thing.
