And the last one, Instagram, is the hardest to leave — to me it is a tool to show my work and reach more people. Though I’m not super actively posting on ig, still I feel like it’s a default platform to connect when you’re doing something visual. Maybe finally it’ll change — I see stories from my friends, people I observe, but my feed (meaning posts) is full of awful crap, awful haha. And! I came to Mastodon, hoping to completely leave ig but it’s a different place here, and I really enjoy it. Sometimes I’m dreaming of the cool internet world, and all the pre-social media stuff, where you could simply have your own blog and engaged readers.
