I spent the morning picking up litter for our town’s annual roadside cleanup day. It’s frustrating to see how much crap people choose to throw out of their cars. Alcohol containers and fast-food packaging mostly (no surprise), but also tires, construction waste, etc.
Our road is one of two in our rural town that gets a lot of traffic with people just passing through. A long stretch of it is unpopulated & wooded, bounded by state forest and watershed property. I guess people see it as some kind of no-man’s land. 🤷♂️
It never ceases to amaze & disappoint me how little regard some folks have for the world around them ...

On the bright side, though: chickadees & warblers were singing, the ferns are coming up, and lots of trilliums are in bloom. 🙂 Nevertheless, Mother Nature persists.
