RE: https://sfba.social/@tito_swineflu/116212187266800221 @tito_swineflu Lots of factors probably feed into that. First, they're probably only listening to people they care about, and that's probably the bulk of the 20% who approve of the conflict. Next, they're stuck in their own mindset of hypertoxicmasculinity where war is an unalloyed good. Third, if the war goes badly, they can escalate things to the point that USA gets attacked, declare martial law, suspend elections, all that "Reichstag Fire" noise. I think even you were pointing out retaliation is a risk, no?

@edgeworth In this post I was commenting that an attack on the California coast wasn't as far-fetched as people thought, from a practical point of view. In a later one, I was sarcastically saying that even the Iranians understand that targeting infrastructure only strengthens a weak government, while the Americans have yet to work that out. Otherwise, I mean, I guess, but these people aren't subtle, and all the other stuff they've done has had clear lines to profit for the elite or broadly accepted ideological concepts, as moronic as they might have been.
