@edgeworth In this post I was commenting that an attack on the California coast wasn't as far-fetched as people thought, from a practical point of view. In a later one, I was sarcastically saying that even the Iranians understand that targeting infrastructure only strengthens a weak government, while the Americans have yet to work that out. Otherwise, I mean, I guess, but these people aren't subtle, and all the other stuff they've done has had clear lines to profit for the elite or broadly accepted ideological concepts, as moronic as they might have been.

    @tito_swineflu We attacked Venezuela for the oil. We're attacking Iran for the oil. While we attack Iran we get higher oil company profits and can let our Russian not-technically-allies make some more money. To me there are tons of possible motivators; the bigger challenge is figuring out how to effectively respond to remove the neofascists from power
