TIL: These days a visitor Visa for the UK, valid for only six months, costs 161€ per person! A 2 year Visa is valid four times as long, so of course it costs four times as much. That's for Germany, for other countries they might be charging even more.
What is that supposed to accomplish?

@bassistance@chaos.social But as an EU citizen, you don't usually need a visitor visa (for short-term stays), just an ETA, which costs £20 (up from £10 last year).
