@quinn What about the old factors? Nobody's complaining about religions that radicalize people by preaching hate and violence toward unbelievers. They've been doing that for millennia. Some of them even preach that their god will reward them for bringing about the literal end of the world! Their sacred text doesn't even say that, and in fact specifically says that's not how it works, but they preach it anyway, and I don't see any legislators screaming for a crackdown. @apz

@quinn The consequences of this have been far worse than a few kids getting an eating disorder. Millions died in huge wars sparked by religious leaders telling their followers to exterminate a rival religion. Nobody would've obeyed if they hadn't been persuaded that eternal torture awaits them unless they comply. @apz
