The joy of having an artist for a partner: I got to help hold this beautiful quilt/banner at an Ecumenical Peace Protest yesterday (2026-04-23). The banner declares the rights we are standing for: life, home, food, love, and freedom for everyone!
If you look close between the words there are many people, but you can't quite see they are protesting Ice, declaring No Kings (but also celebrating Martin Luther King), and otherwise supporting each other.
artist: Cindy Sojourner, she can be found on facebook.

Here is the rest of our small group. I expect the protests on Saturday (No Detention Centers) and next Friday (May 1st) will be much larger. My partner and I both have sensor sensitivities, and a small crowd works better for us -- though the honks of support did get to be a bit much at times.

@Retreival9096 what a fantastic quilt! Love the message, love the fabrics and love the stitching around the letters. Thanks for mentioning the people because I zoomed in and think I saw a dinosaur like the people protesting by wearing blow up costumes, too - awesome details!
