But I guess they do draw like 250W at times.
That's actually crazy to think about. How the hell do nm size features survive that much amperage. Well I guess it's low voltage so not much chance of arching. Still crazy power dissipation for something so small

@spycrab@kolektiva.social @Jenetrix@shrimp.creatures.club CPUs suck power through the 12V CPU power plug, which is converted to ~1V for usage. There are so many gates that there's a lot of surface area - advertised nm features are always a massive exaggeration too - the actual structures are much larger that the advertised number. There is a lot of electron tunneling at smaller feature sides, which is technically arcing.
