I can’t believe it’s 2026 and software engineers still think DRY is the most important principle.
Stop recommending Clean Code. It’s not a good book, people just mistake Robert Martin being confident for him being right.

The author is also a chauvinist sexist MAGA piece of shit who keeps apologizing every time he’s confronted about his behavior yet somehow never ceases to do more of the same. He also threatened conferences with lawsuits in case they rescind his talks in response to his behavior. But—by all means—do separate art from the artist and recognize that his books also suck on their own.
