i wanted to learn because i was playing a certain virtual block and scripting online social game and wondered how they were creating all these different minigames, sometimes all in the same server. i think i was starting to see the patterns and wondering if code looked more like an image you edit mostly manually or if it was a drag and drop builder interface like Halo's map editor. it turns out its mostly text and its not always clear what the code does, and code has potential to do things you can't yet imagine.
