@eamon My uninformed, all-vibes opinion is “both” software is getting worse AND there’s more of it.
Sincerely, a software dev who has more CI/CD infra than actual prod code to be tested.

@magsol I was already riffing on this but a CI/CD pipelines is the very definition of a tightly coupled complex system. The internet of Vint Cerf (et al.) is complex but loosely coupled. Today's internet—not so much. But again, it's not just the internet or the web. Regular programs feel flakier than they did a while ago. And of course now we have all these "edge devices" laying around everywhere, ready to break.
