I mostly use mine for music (probably around an hour or two daily, see finamp background usage). I do pull it out regularly many times a day, but typically only quickly to check the clock, read a single E-mail, skip a track, etc.
One of the things you learn about degoogled phones is that most of the standby/idle battery drain comes from google services. With a google-free phone the screen off time is insane. Even using microG over regular services will significantly improve it.

@stefan@akko.lightnovel-dungeon.de The FP5 is weird though. It seems to very easily start draining a lot of power and running very warm. Likely thanks to industrial SoC. Which is probably why the reviews tended to slam it for bad battery life and being hot. My experience has been the same if something gets stuck active in the background. But as long as that doesn't happen mine has great battery life and runs nice and cool. It does heat up easily if I decided to actually use it for a full hour or something though.
