Is the same situation as with Alien and Aliens: first one a terror movie, and the second an action one, both emblematic (and all movies after it being redundant*)
Definitely a great movie with the tight budget they had, indeed
*I'm still thinking that Terminator: Salvation and Aliens 3 could have been great if X things were different, but that goes to a separate thread to be talked one day

@maestrafenix@chaos.social oh aliens is really good but again i like the original more, but there the difference is even more stark given the directors are different too and ridley scott is a pretty different beast i think the really cool thing about terminator is how tight it feels, there isn't a single unnecessary scene of course my favorite schwarzenegger movie is still total recall though
