@rjblaskiewicz @isocat What if a student doesn't like using Google docs (maybe because of the "tracking every single keystroke, and all your missteps" thing) and generally prefer to use their own local surveillance-free tooling, e.g. LibreOffice, and copy/paste the finished assignment when they're done?

@aspragg @isocat Never had that problem. In truth, I'd likely accept it but have them use Gdocs next time. Now if libre office has a user friendly teaching platform, I'm open to using it, but the crucial thing I need is to see the creation history of the document. I literally have no other tools to detect papers that come from elsewhere. Yes, ai sucks for people who don't want their data ripped off. This, I think, is well established.
