@fstateaudio It is difficult to really explain what a betrayal of their fans happened when Bob Rock showed up. If Cliff had lived it would not have gone as bad. Nothing against Newsted, he was awesome, just, he was kinda what the band at that moment needed on a couple of levels to become a band without Cliff Burton as a creative force, but he was also prevented from making any kind of mark on the band himself. And without his psychedelic lovecraftian wizard mind, and nothing allowed to occupy its space, it became a race to the bottom. Art collections. Symphony records. Short hair. Turn the page.
